How to Make an Instant Origami Bird Wall Art

How to Make an Instant Origami Bird Wall Art

Short on cash for paintings and you’re no Picasso? With just a few ordinary household supplies, you too can create your very own work of art.

Origami Bird Wall
“Birds of the same feathers flock together”. There’s something true about this old adage, because displaying a big group of birds together has a great impact. We used classic origami cranes in three different colors here, but you can stick to a single color or use paper with different patterns.

You’ll need:

Origami paper (or art paper cut into squares: take one corner and fold down so that top edge is in line with side edge. This will form a triangle. Cut access paper and open the triangle to reveal a square.

Masking tape

How to:

1.    Check out how to fold origami cranes at www.origami-instructions.com and start folding. It may take a while to perfect it, but once you get the hang of it, you’ll be folding paper cranes in no time.
2.    When you’re done folding, place masking tape on one side of each bird and stick them to the wall. Create variety by having some cranes with their wings up and some with wings down, and follow a wavy pattern to make the birds look like they are flying across your wall.
